Bombs & Blades is a veteran owned and operated business, started in 2025 by Chris Metler. No matter whether you’re at home, in the field, or forward deployed, our mission is to bring artisanal quality hot sauces to you without the artisanal price.

  As a former U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician now in flight school to become an AH-64 Apache helicopter pilot, Chris has had a passion for the military and the world of spice for many years. He takes pride in sharing new and authentic flavors with friends and family, growing all his own spicy peppers, bottling, labeling, creating artwork, and shipping by hand.

  In 2025 Chris decided to share his sauces by forming Bombs & Blades Hot Sauce LLC, and hopes to share a bit of everyone’s military service with the world by dedicating flavors, art, names, and merchandise to military members of every branch and occupation.  

  Ryan jumped into Bombs & Blades Hot Sauce in late 2025 right about the time things got too busy for one man to handle without losing his mind. A former Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician turned business owner, Ryan brought with him a talent for handling chaos, solving problems, and making things happen with limited resources and strong coffee. He now leads much of the sales, marketing, and day-to-day “figure it out” work that keeps the brand moving forward. From getting bottles into new hands to making sure Bombs & Blades shows up loud, proud, and slightly unhinged online, Ryan helps turn a veteran-made hot sauce into a growing brand with a personality as bold as the burn.

  Bombs & Blades is a cottage-plus business operating out of Enterprise Alabama. Currently we are working on bringing all of our flavors to the national level so some flavors may only be available in Alabama, others may be allowed for sale nationally.
